Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 33B: white wine / 28D). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L0506 (BBF 2032). AROMA: medium to medium-high sourness with medium wood. faint vanillin and fruitiness (lemony) in the background. APPEARANCE: intense gold color and clear. very thin to no head with poor retention. TASTE: medium-low fruity notes with a low sweet, neutral malt background. medium winy wood flavour. medium-low bitterness with a dry and slightly woody finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium to medium-low body with low carbonation. OVERALL: an OK straight sour aged in wine barrels. lacks a bit more carbonation.
