Pig’s Ear Fest. Cask. Light haze on this amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and has modest carbonation. Smooth malts, sweetish. Light banana and bubblegum esters. Trace of wood. Ripe fruits particularly ripe orange. Mild spice on the finish. Not bad.

Cask gravity at Pugs Ear 2016. It pours clear deep red - brown with decent beige head. The aroma is rich, juicy, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, toasted brown sugar, wood and a touch of spice. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, wood, leather, fruit cake, glacier cherry, leather, resin, spice, fig, toffee and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good stuff.
