Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is smooth and very slightly viscous. Rich dark malts, mildly tangy. Touches of coffee and licorice. Tangy dark fruits, a little wood. Some spice. Tangy finish. Rich and tasty.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours deep brown with a creamy khaki head. The nose holds tangy dark fruits, iodine, scorched earth, slight rubber. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, with some chocolate, more tangy dark fruits, ash, licorice. Medium to full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Rich finish, with ripe dark fruits, more chocolate, more ashy roast. Novel, and not bad.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’15, 04/12/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate tan head. Nose is dark fruit shreds, spice, light bourbon, earthy, figs, dates. Nose is leather, spice, liquorice, dark fruit rinds, aniseed, treacle toffee, chocolate. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough old skool kind of impy stout.
