A natural fermentation Ale matured for 6 years with a very generous helping of cherries and a few raspberries added for good measure and then, after the long conditioning, blended with a new fresh brew, in the style of a Belgian "Gueuze". A rich sweet taste well complimented by the new freshness.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a light, foamy head. Interesting aroma, fruity, with some strawberry and light vinegar. Medium sweet flavour, syrupy, with notes of cherry cough syrup, and doughy bread. Medium bodied, oily and chewy, with soft carbonation. Sugary sweet finish, with ntoes of cherry candies, pale bread, light tang. Novel, but not great.

Cask at Pigs Ear, 2015. Bright gold pour. Aromas of pink grapefruit, lots of bitter citrus. Medicinal flavours of lemon and grapefruit. Quite a Veno’s cough mixture feel to it. Could certainly provide sound remedy for a cold.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’15, 04/12/15. Clear golden blonde topped with moderate off white spotting. Nose is sweet malt, raspberry jam, perfume, orange creme, spice. Taste comprises tangerine, glazed cherries, rich fruit medley, peach melba, straw, trace of cherry blossom. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with light woody barrel notes. Interesting brew but not sure it’s one I’d be to desparate to revisit.
