Tap at the brewery. Not exactly sure where they found out that brown ale is an American style, but this truly is an American interpretation. Light alcoholic warmth is present and joined by moderate hoppy bitterness and citrusy character. Medium body, medium carbonation. Nutty maltiness. Good but surprisingly strong.

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly cloudy, dark amber to copper colored. AROMA- berries, tones of bread crusts, hops, blackberries. FLAVOR- lightly sweet, pleasantly bitter/tart, lots of berries - strawberries, rowanberries, blackberries... Medium bodied.
Very good.
