Handpull cask at Stod Fold @ Dean Clough,, Halifax. Dark brown, mostly opaque with a medium to large tight khaki head. Aroma of ash, blackberry, roast coffee. Taste is bittersweet with more coffee and a trace of liquorice followed by a bitter finish. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Pretty good stout.

Cask @ Smithfield Hotel, Manchester. Not quite black, but looks it, with a creamy off-white head. Has a light roasted malt aroma and taste but within an extremely nice smoothish texture.
