Off-kilter brown ale, with a hearty caramel-slathered biscuit malt base drowning in apricot, grapefruit, and tropical hop juiciness. The two sides never quite reconcile--the pungent, fruity hop-forward notes clash with the classic brown ale sweetness--but the finish has a pleasant piney bitter fade, and the pint seems to have disappeared quickly enough. Okay.
