12 oz. can from Kroger in Brentwood, TN. Pours a clear deep gold color with a large off white head and great retention. Lots of spotty lacing. Soft pine hops aroma, much fainter than I expected. Flavors of light caramel malt with a short bitter finish. The 6.7% ABV is somewhat hidden and the 75 IBUs are somewhat hidden too. Bitter, but not as bad as I anticipated. Tick.

Dark bronze color with a medium off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of piney hops, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of piney hop, ripe fruit and grainy malt. The finish is moderately with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can. Clear deep gold with a white head. Aroma of pine, citrus and caramel. A malty start gives way to a long bitter finish.

Drinking the updated version, a wannabe hybrid NE-West Coast IPA mostly situated in the Pacific side of the equation. Not bad, just nondescript, with a pine-resin backbone propping up modest cracker-caramel malts and not-quite-juicy tropical citrus hops. Notes of dank, cat pee, and flowers pop up, as does a lemon-mango-grapefruit undertone leading to a clingy, bitter fade. Pours a mostly clear orange-gold (where's the haze?) with a brief white head and no lace. More juice on the nose than in the pint. Perky, medium-bodied texture is good for the style, although it lacks the pillowy sumptuousness of most NEIPAs. Decent, but not a standout in a crowded style.
