Can pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is hazy orange-yellow with minimal sparkle, 1.5-finger width foamy off-white head with decent retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is dank, candied fruit, more discernible as lemon and melon as it warms. Taste is strong candied fruit (vaguely lemon), late light herb, pepper and tart contributions. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, average carbonation and light finish as taste with mild lingering bitterness (is more frothy than thick and more carbonated as it warms). Overall, a fairly strong sweetness that is not in the common tropical fruit/grapefruit/citrus vein so is somewhat unusual but not complex. Decent.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is a nice lemony and melon hop. Flavor is a nice citrus and melon hop with some creamy sweetness there to round the swallow out. Nice used of these hops and the lactose gave this a creamy and sweet feel to it. I did not get much of the oats but the generous hops additions made up for that.

Insane aroma slaps you in the face the moment you open the can, waves of melon, citrus, dank, pine, and yeast all wafting up from the pint like a hop-based smoke bomb. Tastes a bit tamer, juicy lemon and grapefruit mixing with lesser notes of honeydew, berry, pepper, and peach, underlined by a mild vegetal streak and a gentle, earthy malt base. Never quite achieves the bitterness desired to add punch to the massive hopping, but still very drinkable. (Not sure where the lactose ran off to.) Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a brief white head and moderate lacing. Sparky texture verges on being too thin and overcarbonated, especially considering the oats, but overall a nice IPA.
