Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7
Hearty tripel, full of rich Belgian sweetness but tempered by a healthy chardonnay tartness and a boozy, wine-infused back. Candied banana and maybe a little glazed pastry on the front, with a growing alcohol warmth and a lingering woodsy bitter streak on the finish. Vanilla and white grape in the fade. Good now, but could use bottling and aging.
