Delicious foreign extra, rich and roasty, mixing bitter bakers chocolate with a deep vein of espresso-tinged malts. Subtle sweetness plays off a mild cherry acidity, but the finish is deeply bitter and clingy, leading to a lengthy dry fade. Smells lovely, coffee and chocolate and smoke, and the pour’s pretty enough. Nice brew.
