Very hazy bright peach and copper coloured body with a thick, six to seven centimetre tall, very soapy tan head that leaves a predictably very ugly lace. Aroma of grass, super resin and bright, dank hops with tropical fruits, alcohol, pungent hop bitterness and somehow way more tropical fruits (pineapple, passionfruit, guava, rambutans and mangosteen) noticeable throughout. Medium to even Full-bodied; Rich super malty flavour at first with a huge dose of alcohol, tropical fruits, bitter hops and pure sweetness that fade almost just as quickly with a deep bitterness, smooth juice and fruit note and ending with a proper balance of malt and hops, but all on the very assertive side. Aftertaste shows more hops than malt, but the balance is exquisite showing tropical fruits, dryness and pungency from the hops with a good alcohol bite and bitterness from the yeast, the sugars and from the grasses/dryness. Overall, a very nice IPA, perhaps one of the best from the East Coast that I've had in a very long time, with a great complexity, an amazing balance and great fruity note that seems to show a ton more, but leaves a nice bit of alcohol without being in the Imperial category. Definitely worth going out of the way for, however if you do not like IPAs, this will NOT change your mind, and would actually hate them even more. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from GrapeVine in Fort Mill, South Carolina on 21-August-2017 for US$1,70 after watching the Eclipse, sampled at home in Washington on 16-September-2017 and will be waiting until I can get more of this, somewhere hopefully closer to NY/DC.

Solid N.E. IPA, juicy and resinous with a firm bitter bite and a solid biscuit-caramel malt base. Hops mix mango, pineapple, and orange with a dank-floral backbone, and the moderate sweetness offsets the piney finish. Good nose, good texture, good beer.
