Twelve Miles High, the next in our instalments of 6% IPAs, utilises Riwaka, Motueka & Citra. We love the way bold Riwaka adds its own personal punch of tropical punch. Balance that with delicate lime sherbert from Motueka and round it off with Citra for what is a super dank IPA.

Panda thanks to Cloin and then a can. A medium haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head that doesn't last. Light smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. A decent creamy sweetness from the pale malts. Hops bring soft pine into a decent hop fruity array, bright and broad spectrum, reasonably juicy. I suspect Motueka and Eclipse or Nectaron, would be nice to know but, as so often with Cloudwater it's a need to know and we don't. That grumpy about their arrogance aside, this is a good IPA.

440ml can from The Fuss Club. A hazy golden/orange/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, orange, lemon, lime, some tropical fruit taste/aroma. Quite vegetal and dank, thin but still rather drinkable. Cloudwater can still do better than this offering.

Draft at Unit 9. Pours hazed yellow gold with a thin white cape that fades to clinging to the glass. Aroma is ripe tropical stone fruit, dank hop, hint of lime, a little green onion. Taste is dank hop, ripe tropical stone fruit, hint of lime zest. Really dank bitter finish. Lovely.
