Originally brewed as a festival special for our first outing at The Nottingham Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival in 2012, we continue to brew this once a year for cask and bottle aging. Like fine wine, and all of us, this really does get better with age!

Cask at Cambridge Winter Fest: Poured a black brown with an off white to tan head. Aroma is strong, dark fruits, malty, caramel. Taste was caramel malts, more dark fruit, alcohol burn to the palate.

16/11/2018. Cask at the Cambridge Winter Beer Festival 2018. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, liquorice, marshmallow and dark fruit. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Semi-sweet, roasted bitterness to finish.

Cask at Cambridge Winter Beer Festival 2018. Black brown colour, biege foam head leaving lacing and dark malt berry fruit aroma. Taste is malty, caramel with dark fruity and roasty notes. Medium bodied, sofy carbonation, dry roasty finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2015 [ The 40th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 8th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As Lincoln Green Robins Red Fest ].Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, dark fruit - berry, licorice wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151009] 7-3-7-3-13
