Our ode to the original Imperial IPA's we first drank from the states. Light amber in colour with masses of citrus and stone fruit flavours from two huge Citra/Citra cryo dry hops are kept in check by the sticky sweet malt character and moderate bitterness on the finish. It doesn’t always have to be haze for days!

Fat Dipa testas ihop med två andra Dipor på biskoppensvapen Lund. Nu över 2200 dipor testade noga mitt stora intresse!!. Här har vi en mörkgrumlig dryck. 80 talets Växjö vatten som syntes på SVT på den tiden. Ja jag Klunkar i mig drycken och tydlig sötare maltsmak framkommer. lite svagt smak av vindruvor 🍇. Tung fylllig . Nästan som en strong ale. God men efter en stund känns den lite väl söt.

Can @ Bakgården. Unclear orange golden body under a medium sized, fading off-white head. Aroma has malt, apricot, ripe citric, marmalade, mango and hint of toffee. Taste is sweet and quite bold with a decent malt base, some alcohol sting, ripe fruit, peach, apricot, mango, marmalade and balancing bitterness. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste ending sweet and fruity. Basically very sweet, but the alcohol and the bitterness manage to create some kind of balance, it even feels a bit refreshing but still quite sweet.

Thin beige head on an unclear amber coloured body. Malt, pine & pithy aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & clean. Malt, pine, grapefruit, citrus peel & orange tastes with a an extremely long bitter finish. Good one!

Can from Pentrich Brewing in Pentrich, Derbyshire. A hazy golden/orange/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, hoppy, malty, caramel, tropical fruit taste and aroma. Incredibly sweet, almost syrupy, not an easy drinker that is for sure, dial down the sweetness and it would be fine.

440ml can. Pours dark orange gold with a medium head. Aroma is sweet pine, lemon and caramel. Taste has sweet pine throughout with a bitter caramel finish.

Can from my Beerdome Webshop, Grootegaste, Netherlands advent calendar, consumed at home Saturday 4th December 2021 listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6 Music still preparing a full on Bayerisch dish, Beef Roulades with Gherkins and Bacon and served with homemade Finger Gnocchi. Pours warm gold, light haziness. This has a thick mouthfeel, a little vanilla edge, warming, a little boozy. A big fruitiness, but it's super overipe, tropical fruit. Really, really good.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to Colin. A clear amber orange coloured pour witha a small white head. A caramel biscuit malts, grassy orange, pine, tangy pineapple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, caramel, biscuit, light tangy, citrus, lemon. woody pine, toffee. Bit wishy washy. Palate is semi sweet, sticky, moderate carbonation. Not a huge fan.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 06/11/21. Lightly hazed orange with a good sized off white head. Nose is bitter orange, pine needle, grass, grapefruit, dusty hops. Taste comprises orange pith, pineapple, grapefruit, pine needle, caramel, soft malts. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked OK DIPA but not from Pentrich's top drawer .. a touch overly sweet and a little flabby in places.
