Can (12/29/25) from Steve. Opaque dark brown, trace sparkle, thin head quickly fading to ring, no lacing. Aroma is strong earthy, roasted malt, hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is strong earthy, roasted malt, toasted marshmallow, hints of coffee, caramel, baker's chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation, earthy, roasted, bitter finish. Not sure if this is the grain mix or what (have had gluten-filled beers that fall into this same trap), but don't love the earthiness. Everything else is pretty good but this just colors the whole thing.

Black with a large foamy tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. Roasty, grainy and dry. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Can from the Packie. Dark brown with garnet highlights and a frothy off white head that persists. Coffee roast and toffee maltiness with hints of earthy hop to counter. Really nice for a gluten free brew but seems to lack mouthfeel and has an odd flavor I cant nail down.

On tap at Ghostfish, pours a murky dark amber brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, not much else. Flavour brings out toasted malt and some red fruits. Lacking body and integration. Weak.

Bomber. Bottled 6/22/16, a little over eight months ago. Hoping this is still drinkable. Aroma is chocolate (like Whoppers), coffee, bad breath, grain. Pours murky dark brown with a collapsing tan head. Taste starts out sweet and roasty before turning sour and bitter with flavors matching the aroma along with some licorice notes. Harsh carbonation. Kind of a gritty texture. Not sure about this one. I tried to give it some benefit of the doubt because of the age. Would like to re-rate with a fresher bottle.
