An Imperial Gose with huge berry additions. You get deep, bitter notes (that’s the Sloe Berries), sharp, tart pulp (that’s the Raspberries) balanced with rich, sweet fruit (that’s the blackberries). A touch of Halen Mon sea salt and your mouth goes Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom!

Can. Hazy magenta beer, bubbly vibrant pale magenta head. Palate is light and fairly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. A good degree of berry in intensity here, no denying the fruit. What is missing, for me, is a corresponding saline that would really concentrate those flavours. There is some salt, but it feels very much like an afterthought. So we have a weighty Imperial Gose delivered in a light and drinkable form but with the emphasis very much on the fruit side. Blackberry, blackcurrant, ripe red berry and marvellous Slow intensity. Lovely fruit beer that is very mildly savoury.

Can from the Lancashire Bottle Shop. Pours hazy pale red with a pink-tinged head. Aromas of berries and tangy saline wheat beer. Taste is berries, fruity like a fizzy rose wine. Light chalky finish.
