Bottle at home while making dinner. Got the temperature just right, good pour and a fantastic appearance in the tankard. Lots of malt flavours that are really well balanced with bitter hops. And a great and rich mouthfeel. There is a huge amount going on in this top beer.

Cask at the brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is roasted malt, herbal. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, somewhat light, liqourice, herbal, caramel, woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

# 3394; 12/2022. Strong aroma of chocolate, molasses, caramel, dried fruits. Clear dark reddish-brown body; tany head with low persistence. Nuts, caramel, chocolate, roasty, leather, lighter body. Slightly unbalanced old ale, I guess. 0,5 l, bottle, craft beer and cider shop, Firle (South England).

Bottle sample at tasting at Yoav's place. Clear amber-brown. Malt, caramel, toffee, some roast, some dark fruits, sweetish, drier bitterish finish, some minerals. Decent.

Bottle from Bottles & Books. Clear ruby/brown body with a thin beige head that quickly fades. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of Marmite, wood and blackcurrant. Flavour of cranberry, caramel and earth. Thin body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A wonderful beer with depth of flavour that belies its ABV. I’d love to try this on cask one day.

0.5 l bottle at home. Beautifull stylish, yet very simple label. Pours very dark brown, towards black. Medium small, creamy, off white head with a low-average stability. Scent is biit nutty, mild caramelly notes almost, tad roasty. Taste is surprisinlgy bitter, sharp, yet no real hoparoma. Roasted, almost burnt malts , medium mild in intensity. higher carbonation ( really high for a UK beer ) . Ends roasty, mild lingering bitterness, fading caramelly undertone ( very mild ) Decent.

Pours a clear red brown colour with an average sized fine beige head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts and chocolate. Similar in taste, moderately sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and an earthy drying bitterness.
