Draught keg at the Royal Standard. Light golden, very fizzy. Cloudy little layer of white head. Grassy resin and baked grapefruit give the aroma an almost meaty note. Tastes bittersweet with the teasing harshness of full grapefruit pulp in the background. Long finish. Some lemon sugar, papaya and banana in the aftertaste. Very carbonated which seems to fill out the body. Goodness me.

Can at home in London - picked up at Offie and Toffee. Pours clear gold, lightly effervescent, with a creamy, white head. Lots of ripe citrus in the nose, some simple pale bread, tangerine, melon, peach. Medium sweet flavour, just a touch sugary, with white bread, melon, white grape, more tangerine, mandarin orange, just mellow bitter hay, hints of pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet and juicy on the finish, lightly jammy, with more ripening citrus - tangerine, orange - some tropical fruits, sugary pale bread. It’s really juicy and vibrant, but there’s not enough bitterness to balance it out, so the overall impression is that it’s just a bit too sweet. But still, the hop expression is solid.

Can at home (from BOE), post decorating libation - fucken deserve this juan @22.30, 19/01/16. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is straw, lemon sherbets, caramel, light metallic nip, tangerine, honeysuckle. Taste comprises orange pith, citric tinged straw, melon, light pine, tangerine, soft bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Decent enough APA, I’d chuge this again.
