Cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours clear, deep gold with a slight, creamy head. Hearty lightly toasted grains in the nose, a little citrus, leathery berries. Light to medium sweet flavour, with harsh grassy bitterness, raw hops, light earth, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; OK condition. More harsh grassy bitterness on the finish, with further citrus peel, grainy bread. Not terribly drinkable. A bit rough.

Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Light haze on this deep amber beer, residual pale cream colour head. Palate is very slightly viscous, modest carbonation. Semi sweet pale malts. Thick citric peel and marmalade. Salty pine. Mild resin. Bitter floralness before a semi dry finish. Bitter linger. Feels like a Double IPA.
