Can thanks to Drake! My 13th beer made by this brewery, but my first Octopi beer. Hmmm. Go big, start strong. I grabbed this from the packed fridge sight unseen - there's so much beer in there I feel like I should leave it up to chance. Therefore, starting the evening with a 10%er. Pours murky dark brown with a small, soft beige head. Sweet toffee aroma - really sweet, but it smells nice... also chocolate, vanilla, caramel, butterscotch. Flavor is sweet toffee, vanilla ice cream, chocolate, coffee beans, cocoa powder. This is a sweet bomb, and I mostly hate those, but this has some really good flavors.

12 ounce can from Wine Cellare, dePere, 4/5/19. Dark brown, medium fizzy brown head, good retention. Aroma of maple syrup and caramelized sugar. Taste is brown sugar, molasses, maple syrup, vanilla. Full bodied, thick, syrupy. Fuckin hell. Some bitterness hides in there and booze well hidden (how can it not be?). This is a sugar bomb, but it doesn't come across as artificial. I like it, but it just might kill me.

Can. Dark brown pour, beige head. Chocolate, toffee, maple, vanilla.Actually smells great if you're looking for dessert rather than a beer. Taste, however, is all of these things, but extremely sweet. Lots of sugar in here. The alcohol (10%) is pretty well hidden, though. Interesting.
