On tap at the Capitola location. Aroma is hop forward and pretty dank with lots of grapefruit pith, citrus, pine and dank, oily resin. Hints of oniony notes. Light cracker malt notes with hints of caramel. Light alcohol notes. Pours a slightly hazy, pale, golden straw color with a medium sized, thick, pillowy white head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium light cracker malt notes and hints of caramel. Fairly strong bitterness with light alcohol notes. Moderately strong hop notes of pine, grapefruit pith, citrus, and lighter dank, oily, resinous notes thati lnger into the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid West Coast style IPA. Great traditional hop notes with a slightly lighter malt profile. Assertive bitterness but not crazy. This is actually really refreshing after so many juicy, hazy IPAs.
