5/9/2022. Bottle shared by SHIG, cheers. Pours dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, wood, whiskey, hedgerow berries, dark fruits. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, a little watery, soft carbonation. Bitter woody finish. Quite okay.

Ceramic resealable swing top bottle: Poured a dark brown to black with some faint reddish edges, head is frothy tan. Aroma is roasted malts, licorice, dark fruits, boozy, woodsy. Taste is dark fruits, berries, black currant, roasted malts, woodsy, boozy, feel like a big beer but not with that 5% abv.

Bottle from the farm shop that the brewery is based at. Low key aroma: roasty, chocolate and gravy. Dark and glossy, with reddish brown tints in the right light. Beige head start off creamy but soon recedes. Light bitter. Some fruit/berries but overall it seems watered down, weak coffee, broth. Light-medium bodied. Creamy, of the thin low fat variety. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. Pretty poor effort here. Not bad tasting, just weak.
