Cask at Fulflood Arms, Winchester. 16/12/16. An aroma of Christmas spices. Medium amber. Middling white head. Very light bitter. Malty with vague spices and some orange in the mix. Thin bodied with a frothy mouthfeel. OK but bland.

Cask at the Crosse Keys (JDW), City of London. A bright pale amber pour with a loose white head; spicy malt aroma; spicy taste, with a solid bitter finish. OK, but rather unexciting for a Christmas beer.

Cask handpull at Simple Simons, Canterbury. Deep copper with thin off white head. Earthy hop aroma, sharp hop flavour in mouth with apple/pear fruit flavours. Drying hop finish. bit over done. Just a tad too sharp for winter, but a good palate cleanser. Slightly eggy aroma too.
