To the joyful and the young at heart we recommend Union Smile – the beer with a smile. It tastes best with a slice of lemon, which with its crisp and refreshing aroma perfectly complements this beer’s flavour.

Pours a clear golden color topped with a small and quickly settling white head. The aroma is malty and very skunky. Just not nice. Has a sort of acid feel. The taste is sweet at first, some acid present in the body. The finish slightly bitter. Supposed to be refreshing and light, but I don’t really like it. --- Beer merged from original tick of Union Smile (-2012) on 22 May 2014 at 13:37 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 3.5. Bottled, 0.33l. Clear yellow color and small white head. Aroma of fruits, malt and sweet corn. Taste starts sweet malty and is followed light fruity with some candy sugar. Plain mouthfeel with lack of hops. Light body, thin texture and soft carbonation in palate. Can’t smile when drinking it, but no need to cry, too...

(Bottled at GBF, 2008)On June 12, 2008Clear golden color, white head. Dry, some coffeenotes, buttery scent. Sweeet, malty, butter taste. A bit thin and rather subtle. Medium body and co2 level.

0.33 l bottle. Poured crystal clear golden body with medium head. Weaker aroma of citrus, corn hops and some malts. Not really too nice when you smell it. Well, flavor isn’t so nice either, not balanced bitterish. Palate is short and not bitter at all, everything disappears. Foolish beer, but I had much worser, specially from Union! ;)

22 cL bottle. No skunk upon opening. Caramel malt aroma. Amber gold color with a white head that struggled, but survived. Wait, it just filmed. Medium bodied; moderate, tending to creaminess, carbonation. Starts lightly caramel malt sweet. Finishes far less than dry, but not all that sweet. There even seems to be some bitterness. Something between a German pilsener and a bock, perhaps. Probably a good beer to start the beginner on.
