22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 4/28/2014. Pours crystal clear deep orange amber color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, bread, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate caramel/bready malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, bread, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, bread, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate caramel/bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, lightly creamy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice citra pale ale. All around good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate caramel/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle split at JFβs, 04/05/14, from the bottle barn in Santa Rosa. Clear golden orange with a mahoosive off white head. Nose is caramel malt forward, hoppy tinges, grass, orange pith, light grapefruit. Taste follows along the same lines, all about the malt, the citra hops and citrus fruits just donβt shine through. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, some hop bitterness in a sweetish close. Nah - this is a letdown, give Kernel a call and theyβll tell you how to showcase a hop/hops, to sweet and caramac.

This brew pours a clear orange color with a medium thick foamy white head that recedes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of grapefruit, hops and touches of malt. The finish is moderately bitter with an oily citrus aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

2016-04-15, bottle from Denman Spirits, Vancouver, tagged 11/04/15, 5 months old, 7% ABV, 8-5-8-5-17=43
Hazy golden to light amber color with generous compact head. The hop aroma is deep, penetrating; it brings citrus fruit, citrus peel, a bit of manure; excellent overall. Bone dry mouthfeel; the blond malt profile is quite nice, delicate, with a touch of cereals and toffee, leaving space for the hops, which are mostly resiny, piney, and a bit citrusy.
Excellent.
2012-10-19, bottle from Whole Foods Henderson, NV, 6% ABV, 7-4-8-5-16=40
Amber color, hazy, with generous head. The aroma is hoppy, with citrusy hints, and some earthy character too. Smooth caramel and toffee flavor, with light biscuity touch; strong bitterness, the quality hops provide a very good citrusy and resiny character. Long final.
Fresh and excellent.

65 cl bottle @ hotel room, Las Vegas
Aroma is rather strong on gooseberry bush. Also nettles and some caramel. Flavour has rather strong and stinging hops with gooseberry bush, some biscuits and hints of nettles. Refreshing, but the hop profile is a bit harsh.

22oz bomber pours clear deep copper with thin near white head. The aroma pulses with firm levels of grapefruit, tangelo and mango as well as a bit of sweet candy like maltiness. The taste feels Pale Ale thin and sessionable with crisp bold bitter and flavor citrus hops. I get malt sweetened grapefruit and mango and then slight spicy hop notes here and there too. This is good clean fun. Nice!

Bottle @ Danβs house. Clear, darkish orange appearance with an off white head. Butterscotch, light orange citrusy hoppy, a bit toasty malty aroma. Damn, this has fallen off. Buttery, bready, toasty malty, tangy, infected flavor. Too bad.
