Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 'Ackney. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and fairly dry palate. Tangy dark malts into bitterish esters. Very tangy fruits. Some floral bitter hop. Light dry finish. Okay in very small doses.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018 - Hackney. Pours black-brown with minimal hand. Bland, with some burnt earth, vague cocoa. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and oily texture. Bitter and ashy in the finish. Not great.

12/4/2019. Cask gravity at the Hull Real Ale & Cider Festival 2019. Pours almost black with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, liquorice and ash. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, fine carbonation. Finishes with berries and dark fruit and more liquorice. Pretty good.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018, day one, 04/12/18. Light black with a decent tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is light roast, spice, toffee, charr. Taste comprises chocolate, ashen notes, dried fruits, light spice, touch of liqourice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.
