Coade Word: Snowmageddon is our annual winter warmer and a tip of the hat to world record meteorologist Peter Coade, who forecasted weather in Atlantic Canada for over 54 years. This offering was slow conditioned on rum soaked vanilla beans, cinnamon and local ginger, then barrel aged in Glenora whiskey barrels. The resulting beer is deeply complex, and just the thing to curl up with during the next Snowmageddon.

Bottle: Poured a deep burgundy/brown color ale with a light brown foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt notes with light toffee with some warming whiskey notes also noticeable. Taste is also a mix of dry caramelized malt notes with some nice toffee notes, light residual sugar notes with some nice whiskey barrel notes. Body is about average with good carbonation with some light alcohol notes being apparent. Really enjoyed this one and even more so that no many brewers tend to brew Winter Warmers.
