Glass, 2-ounce, draught, A blackout brunch 'til Monday lunch at Lupulus, savoured on March 3, 2019; eye: brown with a burgundy hue, semi-opaque, ring of beige head, light lacing; nose: coffee, light vanilla, fleeting; palate: coffee, light vanilla, caramel, finale in coffee with a light vanilla presence, medium body, average carbonation, mildly sweet, watery texture and a little bit thin; overall: so?

Verre, 2 onces, en fût, A blackout brunch ‘til Monday lunch chez Lupulus, savourée le 3 mars 2019; œil : brun avec une teinte bourgogne, semi-opaque, anneau de mousse beige, légère dentelle; nez : café, léger vanille, fugace; bouche : café, léger vanille, caramel, finale en café avec légère présence de vanille, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, moyennement sucrée, texture aqueuse et un peu mince; en résumé : bof!

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with light bitter notes with some bourbon, vanilla and oak notes clearly identifiable. Taste is a mix of roasted malt with some bitter roasted malt notes, some residual sugar with some bourbon notes and light vanilla with oak notes also apparent. Body is about average with good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes. Solid BA imperial stout that does retain some balance.
