Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark beige color ale with a nice dirty foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light candi sugar notes with some light fruity ester and some spicy yeast is quite nice. Taste is a mix between some rustic malt notes with light fruity ester and candi sugar notes offset by some spicy yeast notes and the whole mix is well rounded by the oak notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Very well brewed and addition of oak provided nice level of complexity.

Aroma: A mix of caramel and tropical fruits with spices (cinnamon and cardamom) and a touch of banana. A fruity and and complex nose with a subtle touch of spices. Appearance: Blond / straw, a bit hazy, with an average thickness head, half creamy and half rocky, that last quite long. Lacing is good without being extravagant. Taste: Fruits are showing their presence first followed by a comforting warmness of alcohol. Flavor accents are mostly yeasty esters with banana, pear, cinnamon, a bit of caramel, caramelized sugars. A lot of fruits and sugars. Not quite into tripel standards but how so delicious. Mouth feel presents a powerful body with a creamy texture. It’s balance is leaning more towards yeast and malt than hops. We can feel very few hops. A delicious beer with a very wide flavor palette. A real candy beer. After many deceptions from La Chouape this beer just had me reconciled with this brewery.
