Bottle: Poured a hazy super pale yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tart wheat notes with light herb notes. Taste is also dominated by loads of tart citric notes with wheat notes and some herb also noticeable. Body is light with good carbonation. Strange beer which is somewhat reminiscent of a Gose without out the salty part.

(on tap at Bryden’s, Toronto, Feb 15 2012) Poured a slightly hazy very pale straw yellow with a quite loose, bubby white head and a lot of visible bubbles in the beer. Aroma is interesting but not terribly strong - grains, especially oat, grassy herbs, honey, slight sourness. Flavour complex; cereals, oat-forward again, honey/mead, slightly minty/spicey herbs from the bog myrtle, finishes dry and mineral with slight bitterness and grain. Mouthfeel very oily and surprisingly thick but offset by effervescent medium carb, alcohol hidden. Different, interesting and drinkable, this beer is well-crafted and works its grain bill well. Like it better than Bogwater.
