Smells a little malty, some sourness that persists through the taste in a kind of unpleasant manner consistent with many others I’ve had of the style. Gains a wonderful dose of astringency at the end of the journey, which lasts all of a few seconds. Pours dark gold, high carbonation but head dies quick. A pretty weak beer for the brewery. Bottle at Saving Gigi’s.

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy golden color Kolsch with a nice medium foamy head with OK retention and some good lacing. Aroma of cereal and grain is quite dominant with light sweet undertones. Taste is also a mix of clean cereal notes with light grainy notes with light residual sugar notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Not my favourite style but well brewed and easily drinkable.

This kolsch poured a crystal clear, medium yellow colour with a bright white, foamy head. To the nose there are scents of creamed corn, dough/bread, light cheese and cream. First swig was smooth and somewhat creamy with flavours of corn and a very suttle hop flavour that leaves a very light bitterness until later when the hop flavour kicks in a minute after you swallow. Very nice to see they calmed the bitter hopp flavour down in some of their beer.
