The Belgian Ale yeast strain provides a sweet and spicy tone to compliment a grain bill, including malted wheat and rye that works well with these spicy notes. The hop aroma is very subtle. A classic Saison, even if we say so ourselves!

Older cans state V.3 but more recent ones do not.

Can from Bury Lane Farm Shop. Aroma has a sour streak- citrus, gooseberry, a tad vinous. Malty. Doughy sweetness. Earthy hints. Slightly hazy copper gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Flavourwise this mirrors the aroma. Sour with a dry bitterness. Although there is far less sweetness. It's there but keeps It's head down, only gaining any bravery into the finish. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long very dry finish. Somewhat astringent. Enjoyable. Dry but refreshing.

Can from Bury Lane Farm Shop, Royston. Hazy gold with a white head that doesn't last. Belgian banana yeast up front, light spice, bread, a hint of lemon and quite a bit of mineral. The mineral was a bit too dominant for my liking.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6.5

Appearance is golden, with a foamy head of around 1 finger. Aroma is grassy hops, spices, lemon and other citrus fruit. Taste is peppery hops, zesty fruit, orange hints, spices, fluffy mouthfeel with a bit of zing, lemon hints in the finish.

Tight white head stayed on slowly carbonating unclear golden body. Yeast, spiced & vinous aroma. Medium bodied, lively with a limp soapy back. Citrus, bitter, yeast, spiced & zesty white wine tastes with a tangy finish. Standard
