The similarities between the Gloucester – twinned Parish of St Ann’s Bay, on the north coast of the jewel of the Caribbean ‘Jamaica’, with its swaying palm trees, tropical heat, turquoise waters and white sandy beaches, may be hard to fathom during the ubiquitous cold, wet and dreary typical climate of Blighty, so we have made this delicious Stout to take you on your very own Caribbean adventure and to help you ‘weather’ the British climate.

Keg at Brewhouse & Kitchen, Gloucester. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma: rich, roasted chocolate malts, oatmeal, light coffee. Moderate sweet & bitter, semi-dry finish. Medium+ body with fine carbonation. Decent. (This is apparently a different beer to the similarly named other beer).

Cask-conditioned at the brewpub, 20/12/2016. Dark brown in colour, with a tight, beige, head. Roasted malts, plain chocolate and some liquorice, before a lingering, dry, finish. Enjoyable.
