Keg draught at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester at their Bakers Dozen Tap Takeover. Light yellow gold, opaque with a small ring of white head. Juicy aroma with lots of mango pulp popping up alongside a touch of vanilla. Taste is sweet but not overly so. It's actually got a wo derful bitterness halfway through the sip leading to a drying finish. Light almost watery body with medium carbonation. Impressive. Very impressive.

20/9/2024. Draft at the Bury St Edmunds Craft Beer Festival. Pours cloudy orange with a small frothy white head. Aroma is orange, mango, melon, pineapple. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Slight prickly carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish, a well balanced tropical drop.

Cask at Reading BF. Very much a session strength NEIPA; however in the absence of a SNEIPA (NESIPA?) amongst the plethora of new styles on Ratebeer, I reckon that ABV aside, it's much closer to the NEIPA category than the SIPA one, so I've added it as that. Justin found the opaque yellow colour disturbing; not being used to NEIPAs he said it looked more like a pineapple smoothie than a beer (with some justification). I thought it was a pretty attractive beer, but had to admit that the pineapple smoothie theory was fully backed up by the enticing tropical fruit whiff. There's more tropical fruit on first taste (pineapple is again prominent) wita mild bitterness, before a strong spiciness kicks in - sweet chilli sauce and black pepper. A very nice beer, but maybe the spiciness is just a tad too strong by the end.
