Cask up the Black Boy, Caernarfon. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Not much going on really. OK.

On cask at the White Cross, Lancaster. Appearance - golden with a head that disappears quickly. Nose - caramel with a hint of apple. Taste - more apple. Palate - light bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - not sure about this one.

Cask @ Ship & Pilot, Ilfracombe. Clear golden with a very thin head. Light tasting hoppy ale, and easy-drinking as expected. There’s a very mild sweetness in both aroma and taste.

Cask at the Retreat, Reading. Straw coloured with a ring of white head; grainy aroma with a touch of citrus; sweet biscuity body; and a dry finish. A rather average summer ale.
