I did achieve a cultural activity in Carlisle earlier before my current beer tour by visiting their citadel, which they call a castle, although the main building is a Keep. Interesting enough history, mostly about keeping the Mel Gibson types from north of the border out! They might want to cross for this traditional ale, with a great hop-malt-bitter balance.
