Cask-conditioned at the Pelican, Gloucester, 19/2/2016. Near black in colour, with a decent, off-white, creamy head. MIlk chocolate, some toasty malts, leading to a sweet malty finish. Good.

Brown beer with a beige head. Rich malt in scent and taste. Milky quality and a bit of light chocolate in there. It’s not remarkable but it’s nice and very drinkable.

Cask at the Claret, Croydon. It pours black with a decent light tan head. The nose is rich roast, burnt toast, earth, charred wood, light ash, milk chocolate and umami. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich roast, creamy, milk chocolate, mocha coffee vibe, light umami/marmite aspect and some charred wood. Medium body and fine carbonation. A pretty decent milk stout.
