500ml bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours dark brown, short-lived head. Aromas are liquorice, sweet notes, caramel. Taste is sweet, nothing like dandelion and burdock.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - close to opaque black with a nice head that then completely disappears after 2 minutes. Nose - funky. Dirty yeast. Then it cleans up a bit and there is a sweet nutty malt note. Taste - more sweet nutty malt. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a decent finish. Overall - a bit like an 80 shilling.

One of a bunch of potty mouthed beers purchased at the Essex Food Fair at Cressing Temple Barn. Opaque dark brown beer. Tiny suddy pale tan head. Pleasant nose of mild fresh coffee. Light dry palate, a little crisp. Slightly roasted dark malt with a whisper of coffee. A little tangyness as well. Dry crisp finish. Not too bad.
