Cask at the Queens Head, Brighton. Honey coloured pour with a fluffy white head. Lemon zest and pine aroma. Bitter citrus zing in the flavour. Nice brew.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Butlers Wine Cellar. Pours perfectly clear copper-gold, nicely effervescent, with a creamy white head. Lots of dry minerals in the nose, slight chlorophenols, hints of smoke. Light-medium sweet flavor with pale wood, birch, dry smoke, minerals, peach skin, grass. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with some astringency, more pale wood, smokiness, stones, rind, grass, chlorine. Not great.

Bottle shared with AshtonMcCobb. I’m too Sussexy for this Tasting. Pours murky orange with a white head. Aromas of orange, grapefruit. Taste is bitter pithy orange, bit green tomato stalk, almost onion. Very bitter.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy golden orange with a nice head. Nose - oranges and blossom. Taste - going more down the citrus pith road. Fruit eventually comes out. Palate - light to medium bodied with a long dry stalky middle section and a long dry and very bitter. Overall - enjoyable the further down the bottle i went.

Gravity dispense at EBF XVI, 07/11/13. Hazed golden amber with a thinnish off white head that clears to a swirl. Nose is caramel malt, bitter citrics, orange pith, bitter hop notes. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, caramel, light grapefruit strains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy finale with a good dose of hop bitterness. Solid IPA, could go down as an APA being 5.6 but plenty of hop bitterness involved in this number so no qualms classifying as an IPA.
