From can to pint. Pours crystal clear light gold with off white head that lingers as a full collar. Love to see a beautiful West Coast IPA! Aroma of citrus fruit and resins. Orange peel is faint. Flavor leans more heavily into the resins, with orange in the distance. Slight alcohol heat.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated June 16, 2020. Aroma is hop forward with lots of tropical citrus, mango, passion fruit, orange, grapefruit and lighter dank, resin notes. Light cracker malt notes and faint alcohol notes. Pours a fairly clear, brilliant gold color with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Medium light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light cracker malt notes and hints of biscuit and caramel. Moderately strong bitterness and light alcohol spice. Moderately strong hop notes of tropical citrus, orange and grapefruit with lighter notes of pine, mango and resin. An odd, soapy, astringent note that lingers in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Medium low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, the aroma is nice but there is something off in the flavor. I can't decide whether it's the malt, hops or process related but it's off-putting and not pleasant. It's not super strong but it does longer in the finish. EDIT: had a can from the new December 07, 2020 batch and it had no off flavors. It was a solid West Coast IPA. I raised my Taste score from a 5 to a 7 and my overall from 13 to 15. Score went from a 3.4 to a 3.8.
