Afterglow is back with a new recipe. This West Coast IPA has a crisp backbone from 2-Row barley and rice and loads of dank citrus aroma from Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops used in the boil, whirlpool, and dry hop.

Aromas and flavors are citrus, malt, slightly old resin hops. A little more bitter than sweet with carbonation a touch soft. Probably pretty good fresher. But had a hard time finishing this one.

Pint can pours with a crystal clear golden body that supports a nice white head of foam. The aroma offers up some grapefruit, a bit of lemon, some tangelo and then a bit of malt sweetness that strays into a faint toffee note or something. The taste deliver bitter grapefruit and a touch of lemon as well as slivers of kind of guava to cantaloupe tropical fruity hop juiciness. It tends to pick up a thin sweet maltiness that seem to create a brief toffee note during the first few ounces swilled. Overall this is nice.

Grapefruit and lemon balm. Golden pour with good head and decent lacing. Light tangy finish--low body for a west coast IPA. Was hoping for mor presence here. Some green peppercorn in finish. Tap at Crafthouse.

16 oz. Aroma is cantaloupe, passionfruit, dank, B.O. Pours lightly hazy (nearly clear for this brewery) golden with a one finger bone-white head that falls into a ring pretty quickly. Taste has a moderate pithy bitterness with some light sweetness, finishing dry. Good.

Pours a slightly cloudy, golden yellow, with smallish head. Aroma is dank, with citrus, some hops, a touch of grassiness. Flavor is grassy, with some pine/spruce hops, and citrus. A regular, straightforward West Coast style IPA.
