Cosmic Echoes returns with another dynamic blend stouts and barleywines. The final blend showcases a fusion of two stouts and four barleywines that aged in seven different types of oak barrels. Cosmic Echoes generates hypnotic reverberations of candied figs, baking spice, milk chocolate ganache, meadow foam honey, and slated English toffee. The experience holds you comfortably close while it simultaneously nudges your palate towards exploration.

Poured from a 500ml bottle. Aroma is malt forward with lots of chocolate, layers of dark caramel, lighter notes of honey, roast, toasted bread, and burnt sugar. Medium light alcohol notes and light bourbon and oak character. Pours back with dark brown hues on the edges with a small, thick, creamy, mocha head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of chocolate, layers of caramel and toffee with lighter notes of honey, roast, toasted bread, burnt sugar and treacle. Moderate bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Light bourbon notes with hints of oak and faint vanilla and almond notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really solid beer. I'm a sucker for barleywine & stout blends (hello King Henry) and this is a great one. Lots of caramel and toffee notes to balance out all the chocolate notes. The roast is well hidden and the honey adds some nice character. Great barrel notes in aroma and flavor.

Bottle. Pours opaque mahogany with minimal head and wispy lacing. Aroma is cocoa, vanilla, bourbon, brown sugar, toffee; bit of an eclipse vibe to it, i guess that's the honey talking. Flavor is sweet, light bitter, balanced and integrated. Medium plus body, silky mouthfeel, lingering boozy chocolate.
