This Double IPA Skaze (sick hazy) is a high performance machine fueled with premium hops: Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, Zeus & Strata. We’ve lowered the fermentation temperature for a more neutral, cleaner profile and let the hops ride for a longer contact time, all in conjunction with an enzyme that promotes biotransformation and boosts hop flavors and aromas. Profile on this is pretty crazy; we’re getting ripe mango, melon candy, pineapple and orange oil with a full, fluffy body and smooth mouthfeel with just enough hop grit to balance everything out and prevent excess sweetness.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated June 16, 2022. Aroma is moderately hop forward and fruity with passion fruit, mango, tropical citrus and hints of stone fruit and dank, resin notes. Light cracker malt notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a hazy, dull, pale, golden straw color with a medium large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderately strong bitterness and light alcohol notes. Fairly strong hop notes of passion fruit and tropical citrus with lighter notes of mango, grapefruit, stone fruit and lingering oily, dank resin notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a a solid DIPA but a bit of a muted hop aroma. Flavor is on point though and alcohol is well hidden behind some malt sweetness and balanced bitterness.
