500mL bottled April 2024, drunk 9/17/25.
Dark, inky, viscous, clear. Small, dark tan head.
Big, bold, vinous raisin, plum notes mixing with rich, sweet bourbon. I checked this bottle twice to confirm it was not Port Barrel-aged, as it REALLY smells and tastes like port (sweet, candyish grape). I guess it's just a really rich, sweet bourbon or rye? That and maybe some malt character contributing to all of this sweet plum-raisin-grape. Rich, thick, chewy, almost syrupy texture is satisfying, and it's not too sweet, nor is it boozey at all. Maybe a bit too much on the grapey/port character, as that gets a bit tiresome by the end of the bottle, but otherwise this is stellar stuff.

500 ml. Aroma is rye whiskey, soft bourbon, raisin, toffee, oak. flavor is just as rich with a medium plus body. Raisin, date, toffee, bourbon is great! 13.1 % is completely hidden. No warming after the sip. VERY impressive!
