Ever so slightly hazy peach and copper coloured body with a nice, three to four centimetre tall off-white head that takes some time to fade, but leaves a thin layer on top and on the sides after a few minutes. Aroma of deep bitter, resinous and piney hops that show a Pacific NW profile, but a good deal of malts and residual sugars leads to some complexity near the end in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich, resinous and syrupy sweet profile at first with some oranges, citrus fruit, stone fruit and sweetness along with a good, rich malt body that provides the support to the strong, high alpha acid hops that provide a nice bitterness, but even better flavour profile, bringing a lot of complexity to that side of the beer. Aftertaste shows a great blend and balance of the malt, hops, alcohol and especially the sweetness, predominantly from the fruits, but some from resin and caster sugar as well. Overall, a nice Imperial IPA with a good balance showing tons of rich malt notes, a lot of stone and citrus fruits and their associated sweetness and a kick from the hops gives a nice bitterness throughout. Great to sample and well worth trying to find if you can get this while it's fresh - it's a nice example of how to do a rich, deep IPA with a good level of fruitiness, but still focused on the hop bitterness. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 12-September-2020 for US$4,29 sampled at my house here in Washington on 05-March-2021.

16 oz can from jcos, 12/23/19. Pours a hazy orange color with an off-white head and some moderate-plus streaky lace. Peachy, with apricot, orange juice, some pine and a little grass too. Kind of an odd finish, that takes away from the flavor and feel a touch. Still, it is pretty good overall.

Juicy as all get-out, with tons of pineapple, passion fruit, melon, mint, and chive notes, followed by a mild mineral bitterness and a subtle but telltale kveik tartness. Probably would be better with a more traditional yeast, but I'm not a fan of the kveik trend in general. Good regardless.
