Golden with a white head - Coffee and wood aroma - Malt body with a good coffee and wood barrel flaovurs - the malt with coffee and wood goes into the finish - This was good
Dark golden color. In a deep sniff I get vanilla, sweet sugar & bourbon. To taste....starts with a brown sugar blast that is malty and smooth. Bourbon and malty coffee in the middle then ends with sweet vanilla and more bourbon. Nice little effervescence throughout. Its a pleasant sipper 🍻

Bottle from a Lazy Dog Deep gold in color with a touch of haze and a tightly bubbled off white head that slowly recedes. Big creamed coffee aroma with vanilla and brown sugar and a touch of earthy woody alcohol to counter. Very nice sipper.
Taster on tap at Stone Bistro And Gardens, Escondido, Ca. Cloudy golden with white white head. Roasted malts, coffee, some bitterness.

Dammit. Okay, so I like a white stout. Had to happen sooner or later I guess. Sweet, but not overbearing, with a nice milk chocolate base and oodles and oodles of coffee backed up by brown sugar and a hefty bourbon punch. Creamy, full body makes for easy drinking, and a nice oaked bitterness keeps the back end from growing cloy. I prefer original Java Cask, but there’s room for Gold.

Dark brown with white head. Malty and coffee aroma. Full bodied all over the mouth taste with a fine finish. Malt and nuts in finish. Strong enough to be an imp stout. Bottle was a gift.
