On tap @ Eleszto. Pours black colour and beige head. Chocolate, coffee, fruity notes, roasted malts and hoppy bitterness in aroma and taste. Quite long lasting bittersweet finish, creamy mouthfeel, medium body, soft carbonation. Nice one.

Bottled.Thanks Sandi! Black body with a tiny tan head. Medicinal alcohol, just pure ethanol mixing with jammy fruity notes in the aroma, a bit oily... err... what? Creamy taste, dryish in the finish, with no bitterness. Alcohol all over the place, though more in taste than in feeling initially, the warming feeling does creep up. The malty notes, perfumey, in combination with the alcohol make it seem at times like those cheap pralines filled with cheaper still liquor one can get at discount stores. And that's at its most interesting. After Smog Rocket, this felt like a botched homebrew, and I'd hoped for more and I know they can do better. Hope to rerate it at some point. It should not have been like this.

Tap@Élesztő, Budapest. Pours opaque black with small light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, soy sauce, gravy, chocolate, sweet licorice and Vegemite. Taste is light to medium sweet, medium to very bitter, light salty and faint acidic. Body is dry and light oily with light fizzy carbonation. Finish is long, dry and bitter with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, gravy, rye bread and roasted peanuts. Very rich.

Kicsi, tartós hab, fekete szín. Illata csokis, kávés, kissé alkoholos. Kávés, picit csokis, pirosgyümölcsös ízek, egy hajszálnyit alkoholos. Közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Sajnos nem igazán áll össze, nincs igazi összhang.

Monumentális, nagyon tartós hab, koromfekete szín. Fekete csokis, rozsos illat. Íze kissé savanykás, pörkölt malátás, icipici füstös felhanggal. Utóíze a korty folytatása, ami sokáig kitart. Testes sör.

Bottle at the Start Craft Beer Bar, Budapest. Poured a clear dark brown with a round off white head. The aroma is creamy caramel, lactose light chocolate, roasty malt, yeast, light hop. The flavour is moderate sweet liqouice bitter with a rich oily, dry, yeasty floral hop bitter palate and a lingering alcoholic bitter finish. Full bodied with flat carbonation.Earlier Rating: 11/6/2015 Total Score: 3.7Tap at #Marionett, Budapest. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is grassy hop, light smoky malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a refreshing grassy citrus fruit hop, light smoky malt, light spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A great beer, but this is a black IPA, not a stout.

Keg at Élesztö, Budapest. Near black, small head. Piney yeasty nose with some chocolate. Very sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Yeasty chlorine, sugar and pine. Low bitterness. Problematic.

On tap at Legenda Sörfőzde Pub, Budapest. Pours black with small beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, some hops. Sourish taste, interesting twist, but somehow I doubt that was intentional, more likely developing infection. Finishes bitterish.
