Bottle split at the L6 Tasting Krismass Karnage Tasting, thanks to Danny, 19/12/19. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is chocolate, toffee, dark malts, light coffee, mellow roast. Taste comprises dark fruits, charr, roasted bite, trace of coffee, chocolate cake, leather. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of booze. Passable impy stout … not sure the 2 year cupboard ageing has helped!

Bottle shared at the Columbus tasting 19/12/2019. Many thanks A clear mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose light head. Aroma si stale coco, coffee, light socks, balsamic. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tangy, green apple, musty, brown sugars, mild infection, liquorice, oily. Palate is semi sweet, oily, tangy, moderate carboantion. Bit fucked. Lingering balsamics.

Bottle shared in Canary Wharf, London - many thanks to Dan. Pours clear, deep brown with a moderate, tan cream head. Earthy and ashy, with light tang, dry chocolate, raisins. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Somewhat tangy on the finish, with notes of dark chocolate, old berries. Eh, so so overall.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Surpising lack of aroma. Some coffee vanilla. Dark and glossy with cola tints. No head. Medium bitter, with a sweet streak. Vanilla and stewed fruits/berries morr so than coffee. A hint of medicine. Medium bodied. Very sticky. Soft carbonation. Long finish. Winter warmer. More charcter than their standard imperial stout. Good stuff.
