Cask atWhite Hart, Tongham. 6,000th brew, at 4.1% again. Vague malt and caramel, obscured by cleaning products. Bronze. Thin creamy white head. Sweet with an increasingly sour edge. Caramel, with more and more citrus and tinned fruit. Almost apple juice. Malty base. Thick bodied. Odd texture - thin but sticky. Leaves an almost grainy chalky residue. Flat carbonation. Pretty abrupt finish. It's Ok. If I drank more I could imagine it gets too sickly and sticky. A bit odd really. Not utopian.

Cask at the Old Manor, Bracknell. Brewed again in late 2013 to celebrate the 5000th brew, this time at 4.1% ABV.
Amber with a ring of white head; and a fragrant, floral aroma; soft and fruity in the mouth with a sweet grainy body and a biscuity finish. Unusual.

Cask hanpull at The Evening Star, Brighton. Amber coloured disappearing off white head. Toffee on the aroma. Quite sweet in the mouth. It’s a decent ESB, but the sweetness is a bit over the top. Some peppery hop on the finish. Smooth rounded toffee malt. Drinkable enough.
